One (1) Year Comprehensive Warranty

Effective January 1, 2008

All Door Panel Systems garage door panels are warranted against defects in material and/or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Door Panel Systems warranty is strictly limited, at the manufacturer’s option, to repairing or replacing, at no charge, any part, parts or complete unit found to be defective by the manufacturer within this period. This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear. The manufacturer will not be responsible for painting, staining, shipping, transportation, labor, and/or field service charges.

This warranty shall not extend to or cover any damages or claims with respect to any products that in any way or degree have been altered, processed, misused, mishandled, or improperly installed.

All wood doors must be properly protected with quality paint or stain. This warranty is void if the buyer fails to provide one (1) prime coat of exterior primer or stain and two (2) coats of finish exterior paint or stain applied to all surfaces prior to installation. Wood doors must be protected from moisture prior to the painting or staining process. The wood door should not be allowed to get wet under any circumstances prior to the painting or staining or this warranty shall be void.

Door Panel Systems uses high quality materials for framework, door skins, overlays, and panel materials. Exposure of wood to the environment may cause bowing, checking and/or cracking of a door component regardless of efficiency of painting or staining. This is not considered a defect; it is an unforeseen and uncontrollable characteristic of natural wood. It is the sole responsibility of the dealer and the end user to select the type of material and/or door that will withstand the climate and/or environmental conditions.

This warranty is specifically limited to Door Panel Systems and is in lieu of any and all other warranties, expressed or implied, by operation of law or otherwise. Due to the weight of our garage door panels, it is strongly recommended that the dealer and the end user select commercial-grade, heavy-duty mounting hardware to ensure panel longevity and safety. This warranty shall be void if upon inspection we determine that recommended installation procedures and maintenance instructions were not followed.
